English as a Second Language (ESL) is for adults whose primary language is not English. The program extended its pilot for teaching English via American History and teaching English via Community Involvement recently. Students enjoy local guest speakers from law enforcement, schools, financial institutions and the opportunity to visit Midland's Center for the Arts for two performances following class preparation and readings.

Services provided include Listening Skills, Grammar Skills, Writing Skills, Conversational Skills, and Social Skills.

Classes are held locally in the morning, 3 days a week, to accommodate the needs of students. Childcare and transportation may be provided. For more information on the ESL program contact Education and Training Connection at (989) 631-5202, ext. 205 or 216.
