Who is eligible to take the GED tests?
Each state set its own eligibility rules. In Michigan, there are two requirements to meet. First being over the age of 18 and not have finished high school. Second having been past the date that your high school class would of graduated. A more complicated circumstance would be for some one under the age of 18 years old who is not attending a traditional or alternative high school. In these situations the Chief Examiner would have to approve the testing and the issuing of the GED diploma will be withheld until the first two eligibility rules are meet.
